I spent my first Carnaval in the sea-side town of Güiria in eastern Venezuela after a friend invited me to join his family in the town´s parade. The family chose the theme "Mayan Kingdom," and the following pictures include our preparations for the parade as well the our procession through the town. Check them out here!
